A: While we would like to honor all requests we cannot. Therefore, the School of Medicine assigns entering students to one of nine regional campuses throughout Indiana for the first and second years of medical school. Information about the campuses may be reviewed at http://admissions.medicine.iu.edu/medicalcenteroverview/. We encourage you to make contact with campus directors to obtain additional information before ranking your preferences.
Students who complete their first two years at a regional campus that has a fully implemented clinical clerkship program will be given first priority to complete their entire third year at that site. All students regardless of campus who elect to complete their third year in Indianapolis may be required to take up to three clerkships at locations outside Indianapolis.
Once campus assignments have been issued reassignments will not occur and students may not switch campuses as doing so could result in withdrawal. Therefore, you should plan to matriculate at your assigned campus.
A: In-state $31,430.00 and out-of state $46,714.00 . Amounts reflect annual rates for the 2011-2012 academic year. Additional details are available at IUSM Financial Aid Office.
A: While most interviews take place on the Indianapolis campus, students will have the option to interview at either Northwest or Muncie on a voluntary basis. However, if you elect to interview at Muncie or Northwest you will not be eligible to change your interview location at a later date. Therefore, we encourage you to select your interview location carefully.
